Renogy's MPPT charge controller with alternator power input is designed with multi-stage, multi-input charging, allowing it to charge a service battery from a starting battery linked to an alternator or by utilizing solar panels connected directly to the unit. While your vehicle's alternator prioritizes your starting battery, this unit will allow your solar system to charge your service battery first. Renogy's 50 Amp MPPT charger has multi-stage charging and multi-chemistry functionality, making it suitable for Flooded, Gel, AGM, or Lithium batteries.

Innovative MPPT technology with high tracking efficiency up to 99% and peak conversion efficiency of 97% maximizes the solar power, even in cloudy environments where the max power point of the solar panels will fluctuate all day. The controller can activate a dead battery (at 0 volt) with a small current and bring it to life.

Extremely Protection: The 3-phase charging profile (Bulk, Boost, and Float) ensures accurate full charging of your service battery. The controller is equipped with various protections, including battery isolation, over-voltage, battery temperature, over-current, overheat, reverse current, and solar panel and alternator reverse polarity protection. The remote temperature sensor port allows for accurate temperature compensation.

DC to DC Charger Function: The solar charger is compatible with traditional and smart alternators, allowing it to charge a service battery from a starting battery linked to an alternator. For smart alternators, an IGN Port is featured to connect the Vehicle Ignition for auto-trigger once it detects the vehicle is started. The built-in Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) provides a user-friendly setup with traditional alternators. The combination of solar panels and alternator power input ensures your battery always has adequate power on the go.

Real-time Monitoring and Parameter Customizing: The RJ45 communication port allows you to control and monitor the device remotely through your phone in real-time using the BT-2 Bluetooth Module and Renogy DC Home App.

Mute and Excellent Heat Dissipation: The integrated heat sink, instead of a cooling fan, provides a 0 dB surrounding for a relaxed environment and ensures highly efficient heat dissipation.
